One of the most delicious breakfast spots I've ever been to in a very long time. We found this place by happenstance. We were visiting family in California from out of state and was looking for something local to grab a bite. I was blown away by Saffron Bakery—it truly turned out to be a gem. Unfortunately, we were only in town for a couple of days, or else we would've loved to become regulars. I ended up taking lunch home for the drive the next day, it was that good. The owner even remembered my name, which was such a thoughtful touch and shows that they really care about attention to detail. The food was fantastic—I had the eggs Benedict on my first visit, and they were cooked to perfection. My wife had an exually amazing dish- the breakfast croissant which was fantastic- I nibbled a bit of it. We only wish we had places like this back home! Definitely be back the next time we are in the area visiting family.

My husband, two little boys and myself have thoroughly enjoyed our weekly visits into Saffron bakery for the last several years. Anytime our family or friends come to town we make sure to bring them by the bakery and it never disappoints! Every item we have tried has been purely delicious and high quality! You can never ever go wrong with any of the croissants or ciabatta loaves. We love that the bakery is located walking distance to us and truly adds to the community charm around us. The owner there is so so wonderful and is truly sweet to our kids, there is no other bakery we'd choose over this near Aliso Viejo!

I wanted to reach out and let you know how much I enjoyed my recent visit to your bakery. From the moment I walked in, I felt the warmth and charm of the space, and the scent of fresh pastries made it feel like a little slice of heaven and very less sugary. My family always complained about too much sugar in most pastries and cookies. However, now they are so happy to buy pastries and Danish here. I especially loved the Sour Dough Baguette, and my son became a regular customer for the almond croissant and Turkish coffee. It was truly delicious, and the quality was great. The team was welcoming and attentive, making the experience all the more enjoyable. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy incredible treats. I'll be looking forward to my next visit!

I have to say, this is the most extraordinary breakfast I've ever experienced. Each dish was incredibly unique, bursting with flavors that melded together beautifully. The presentation was stunning, and it was evident that a lot of thought went into creating this meal. From the perfectly cooked eggs to the artisanal bread and the fresh, vibrant fruits, every bite was a delightful surprise. The combination of tastes and textures was simply incredible, making it not just a meal, but a culinary adventure.

Ciabatta 10/10 - absolutely delicious! Mini Saffron cake: 8/10 - moist and flavorful, with a lovely cardamom taste (just wish the saffron came through a bit more). We were surprised it wasn't chilled, but enjoyed it at room temp. Maybe a tad too sweet for us, but we'll definitely be back for more of their yummy treats!"

Recently discovered this small bakery /cafe while visiting my Mom from out of town. I love visiting bakeries and this was a wonderful surprise. We were there for breakfast and had delicious French toast and a breakfast burrito. Everything was made fresh and tasted wonderful. I couldn’t resist trying the New York style chocolate chip cookie with walnuts! I’ve had a lot of cookies and this one had great taste and dark rich chocolate ganache. Can’t wait to come back and try more pastries. Check out @2hotcookieschicago for more tasty treats. The owner was warm and welcoming. A great hidden spot in the sea of strip malls in OC.

Awesome spot, got a chocolate nut cookie, cheesecake slice and a Turkish coffee. Real good the cookies probably been sitting out a whole and still had oowie gooie chocy, the cheesecake is, y'know, cheesecake, so fantastic, and the coffee was piping hot and real yummy. Also got a loaf of sourdough for the house, theirs is real good. 10/10 would come back

I just discovered this place last week and have gone back 3 times. It’s a bit pricey however that is more of a sign of current economic conditions and I feel that the value is good given how amazing the quality and craftsmanship is. The hazelnut French brest and cheesecake is amazing as well as everything else I’ve had, including savory omelette where you can tell they use an artisanal blend of cheese and meat and not just store-bought deli quality. Almond croissant and scones were amazing… all sweets are about half sugar compared to others and much preferred.

Great people at this bakery with amazing service. Make you feel right at home. The food is amazing, had their tuna sandwich (best tuna we’ve had), French baguette, snickerdoodle and gingerbread cookie. It was all 10/10. Highly recommend them!

Had a great experience at Saffron Bakery. Everything was fresh, buttery, and beautifully made. The pastries had perfect flaky layers, rich flavor, and looked just as good as they tasted. The pistachio pastry and chocolate croissant were especially amazing. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and put care into their baking. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere too. Definitely one of the best bakeries I’ve tried in the area, highly recommend!
